This is a hands-on appointment. We won’t just install your seat for you; we’ll teach you how to confidently install and use it yourself.

We review the information you provide about your child, car seat, and vehicle so your CPST can prepare for your specific setup.
The right seat + setup
We’ll review whether your child is using their seat within its limits and whether the setup works for your child and vehicle.
Installation
Work through the correct installation for your specific car seat, vehicle, and seating position.
Fit + harnessing
Learn how to position and adjust your child correctly and how those adjustments change as they grow.
Hands-on learning
You’ll practise installing and using the seat yourself—not just watch us do it. And, there’s time to troubleshoot your specific concerns and make sure you understand your setup before we leave.

Prenatal appointments are encouraged. We can use a doll to practise positioning and harnessing while you learn to install and use your actual car seat.
